When I was abroad, I spent some time by myself. I would walk to class alone, sometimes make trips to the store alone and sometimes take trips by myself places.
It’s an overlooked part of being abroad, the time you spend with yourself.
“Fernweh”…or I Need To GO
What does that mean? It’s German, meaning “far sickness.” It’s an urge to travel even stronger than wanderlust.
It’s a lot of what I’ve been feeling lately over the course of my winter break at home.
