You found my “About” page! Congrats!
I’m Erin Lanahan, a news producer in Rochester, NY. I graduated from St. Bonaventure University in May 2020. Go Bonnies!
I studied abroad in Ireland in the fall of 2017 and wrote about my experiences there. I traveled all over the Emerald Isle but also ventured farther out into Europe. I made great friends and have wonderful memories from my time across the pond!
At St. Bonaventure, I’m an executive producer for SBU-TV. I’ve been doing everything (writing, editing, directing, anchoring, etc.) to learn more about broadcast journalism. I also spent a year as the Editor-In-Chief for the Bonaventure group on The Odyssey Online.
I’m originally from northern New Jersey. I was raised on Bruce Springsteen and bagels. Those are probably the most Jersey things about me! I love exploring new places (hence the blog) and I’m a huge fan of comedy. I could talk for DAYS about funny movies, TV, stand-up, sketch — you name it!
I started this blog to write about my experiences while living in Ireland, but as I find my voice it’s turned into a channel to share all my writing. All of it. Even though I’m not living in Maynooth anymore, I still like to write about all my travels — they might not be as far as you think!
You can stalk me on my Instagram, Twitter, or LinkedIn.
If you have any questions, leave me a comment or send me a message here! I’m always looking for new ideas and new places, so please feel free to send some recommendations! 😊
