Taking a break at Letchworth State Park

If you’re anything like me, you’ve been scrolling endlessly for the last 24 hours. Flipping back and forth between news channels. I’m getting constant alerts and notifications about projected winners and demands for recounts.

If you’re looking for a quick distraction, or just want a little break, take a look at my trip to Letchworth State Park.

It was one of those days where I felt drained after work. After I got home, I made plans the next day to make the trip to the beautiful state park. I heard so much about it, and seen so many pictures I wanted to see the beauty in person.

I arrived, and immediately smiled at the sight of the changing colors in the trees. I could hear the water rushing over the hundreds of rocks lining the riverbed in front of me. It was a sense of calm. I breathed in the fresh air.

Hiking around the trails, I saw little creeks running into the river, red and yellow leaves starting to decorate the pathways and felt the winds whipping my hair around.

It was peaceful. In some parts, all you could hear was the water rushing, the winds swirling through the trees and your own thoughts to keep you company.

I could go on and on about how much I love watching the leaves change, how the sound of a waterfall brings me peace, or how winded I was after hiking up stairs along some paths.

Instead, I leave you with some of my favorite pictures I took that day. I hope they bring you as much joy as they bring me.

One final reminder; take a deep breath. The sun will rise tomorrow. I wish you peace and tranquility.
